How to Decide on What Breast Implant Size Is Right For You

Breast Implant Chester, NIThe trickiest part of getting a breast augmentation for most people is deciding to get one at all. The second trickiest part? Deciding what size of implant to get. Although Dr. Larry Weinstein can help you with the decision-making process, it’s ultimately your call. So, how can you decide on what implant size is right for you? Let’s take a closer look.

Think of Your Areas of Concern

Your reason to get a breast augmentation may be entirely different than the patient before you. For some women, they want larger breasts, for other women, they just want breasts that are more symmetrical. Before deciding on what size of implant you want to get, make sure to ask yourself, “Why am I doing this? What results am I hoping to achieve?” Although those questions may sound simple, they may go a long way.

Basic Measurements

During your initial consultation either one of our nurses or Dr. Larry Weinstein himself will take measurements of your chest which will help us to determine what sizes of implants may be too large for your frame and which ones are okay to go with. By taking a look at your anatomical structure, it will ensure that you have proportionate results.

Vectra 3D Imaging

With our Vectra 3D imaging system, we take the guessing game out of the equation for most of our patients. With our unique 3D simulation technology, we can upload a picture of your current size breasts and recreate the same image with different sizes of breasts— leaving you with the ability to see what your results will look like afterward.

It can be stressful trying to decide what size of breast implants are right for you. However, it is one of our top goals to ensure that you get results that you are 100% satisfied with. Want to learn more about breast augmentation surgery? Schedule a consultation with our Chester office today!

Dr. Larry Weinstein’s office, we understand the importance of having flawless skin, a sexy pout, and the best look to get you the most likes on social media. And although you can do a few touch-ups with a filter, having a naturally flawless appearance is what everyone wants. Here are a few ways you can get selfie-ready.

Fillers

But, if you’ve followed Kylie since the beginning of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, you know that she hasn’t always had full lips— she uses fillers. If you want to make your followers stop in their tracks this holiday season, consider getting dermal fillers from Dr. Larry Weinstein. By strategically injecting your lips and the skin around your lips with fillers, you can get a fuller, sexier pout in no time.

It used to be that you could sit in front of a camera, smile and say cheese, and hope for the best, knowing that only a handful of people would ever see that picture. However, nowadays, as soon as you post a photo on social media all of your followers can have immediate access to it— which can feel like a lot of pressure. Luckily, with fillers and Botox, Dr. Larry Weinstein can get you selfie-ready just in time for the holidays.

Get to the Heart of the Issue with a Z-Lift

Z-LIFT Chester, NJAging can make you feel like your body and face are transforming right before your eyes, because well, they are. As you age, your skin starts to lose collagen and elastin which makes it sag and look deflated. Specifically, people start to suffer from sagging around their jowls and jawline— making them look a lot older than they care to admit. Luckily, with a procedure called the Z-lift, Dr. Larry Weinstein can restore your jawlines natural heart shape and make you feel more confident in the process.

Why a Z-Lift?

Dr. Larry Weinstein has been using the Z-lift facelift procedure for over 20 years and finds that it gives patients great results with minimal downtime. Unlike a traditional facelift, the z-lift facelift uses standby anesthesia—- valium and a few injections— which means that it can be done in an outpatient clinic and allows the patient to go home just four to five hours later. Additionally, Dr. Larry Weinstein typically prefers the z-lift facelift because patients can get back to work after around four to five days and can start traveling after just one week— something you could never do with a traditional facelift.

What Are the Benefits?

If you look around and it looks like everyone is aging gracefully, they are but not without the help of doctors like Larry Weinstein. Sometimes, your skin needs a little plumping, lifting, and tucking to help you look and feel your best. With a Z-lift, patients experience a variety of exciting results including a more chiseled neckline and the reduced appearance of nasolabial folds.

If your jawline no longer resembles a heart due to a loss of elasticity in your skin, you may want to consider getting a z-lift facelift from Dr. Larry Weinstein. Schedule your z-lift facelift consultation with our Chester office today!

How to Combat Signs of Aging With Radiesse

Radiesse Chester, NJAlthough you make wake up one day, look in the mirror, and notice more fine lines and wrinkles than you care to admit, aging doesn’t just happen overnight. Aging skin is a combination of factors including environmental factors, loss of facial volume, loss of elasticity, and repetitive muscle usage. When we expose our skin to the sun and other harmful factors every day, it will certainly show for it— that’s where fillers like Radiesse come into play.

What Is Radiesse?

Dr. Larry Weinstein has been using Radiesse to help cosmetically treat patients for more than 25 years— meaning that he’s practically a Radiesse expert. As a volumizing filler, Radiesse can be used on various parts of the face and body including the chin, hands, cheeks, around the mouth, and the jowls.

How Does It Differ from Other Fillers?

One common thread that Radiesse and other fillers share is that they are all dermal fillers that are designed to give patients temporary relief from fine lines and wrinkles.

One of the main distinctions between Radiesse and popular fillers like Juvederm and Restylane is that they are comprised different ingredients. For instance, Restylane and Juvederm are made of an ingredient called hyaluronic acid. Radiesse, however, is made up of Calcium Hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres.

Rather than simply filling in the skin, Radiesse works a bit differently than other fillers. Once it has been injected into your skin, calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres give patients immediate volume and encourage the natural stimulation of collagen in the skin. After the microspheres have metabolized over time, they leave behind only your natural collagen.

Does It Hurt?

If you are worried about experiencing pain during your injections, Radiesse has been approved by the FDA to be mixed with pain relievers like lidocaine to help lessen the pain.

Why Is It Popular?

Radiesse is popular for a variety of reasons including the immediacy of how fast it works, its versatility to treat both the face and body and its ability to last the upwards of a year or more.

3 Desk Exercises to Try for Hand Pain

Hand Surgery Chester, New JerseyWhether you have arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome, hand pain can make everyday tasks like typing, writing, or even opening and close a door to become painful. To help you ease that pain, we encourage our patients to try some hand exercises. By strengthening the joints in hand and taking pressure off of your tendons, hand exercises can give you almost instant relief— plus you can do them from the comfort of your desk at work. Read on to learn more about three exercises you can try on your own.

Stress Ball

They may have handed them out at your last work conference, and you threw it away thinking you’d never use it again, but stress balls do serve a purpose (other than swag). Using either a stress ball or a small, soft ball, wrap your fingers around it and make a fist. Then, slowly pulse the ball using the muscles in your hand. You may notice that your hand is sore at first but after a few days of repeating this exercise, you should find some relief.

Wrist Roll

You may not realize it, but a lot of the tension in your hands may be coming from your wrists. To help ease the tension in your wrists, rotate them from side-to-side and then in a complete circular motion— this will help loosen up stiff joints and break up any lactic acid in the process.

Finger Pulls

Taking one hand, grab the fingers on your other hand and gently pull them back toward your wrist. If you feel a lot of pain or tension when you do this exercise, try to ease a little deeper into it every time.

Repeating these exercises a few times a day, every day can help give you a lot of relief from hand pain or joint discomfort. If you would like to learn more about hand pain or surgery, contact Dr. Larry Weinstein today to schedule an appointment!

3 Ways to Get the Most Out of Your Surgery

Surgical Procedures Chester, New JerseyWhether you want a little tummy tuck or just a small rhinoplasty, Dr. Larry Weinstein and his medical staff can make all of your cosmetic dreams turn into a reality. And although we will do all of the heavy liftings, it’s important to know what you can do on your end to get out of recovery safe and fast. This article will list three ways that you can get the most out of your surgery. Read on to learn more.

  1. Follow Recovery Tips

As soon as you are released from our care following surgery, it’s up to you to make sure that you are following the recovery tips and protocol. Make sure that you are referencing the care pamphlet we sent you home with regarding how to clean your incision site, things to avoid doing (like heavy lifting and exercising), and signs or symptoms of an infection.

  1. Have Realistic Expectations

Whether you’re getting a rhinoplasty or breast augmentation, one thing is for certain, no matter how hard he tries, Dr. Larry Weinstein or any other cosmetic surgeon won’t be able to change your entire appearance. So, if you want to look like J.Lo but don’t have her facial structure or features, to begin with, we can’t make that happen. Before you go into your surgery, it’s important that you have realistic expectations. The more realistic you are, the more satisfied you will be.

  1. Stop Smoking Beforehand

If you are a smoker, we won’t be able to perform surgery on you until you have stopped smoking for at least two weeks. By decreasing your body’s ability to fight off infection, smoking makes you more susceptible to such problems and prevents you from healing properly.

How to Speed Up Your Breast Augmentation Recovery

Breast Augmentation Chester, New JerseyHaving a small waist and a small amount of debt are two things you may want to have small of, but having small breasts likely doesn’t make a list. If you have been considering getting a breast augmentation from Dr. Larry Weinstein, you can rest assured that you’ll be in good hands from the consultation appointment all the way through recovery. To help you speed up your recovery time, we have created a brief guide. Read on to learn more.

Take It Easy

One of the best things you can do to speed up the recovery time for your breast augmentation is to take it easy. Remember that the more rest your body gets, the faster it will recover from surgery. Even though you may want to get back into the swing of things right away, it could only slow down your recovery time and even expose you to infection. We encourage our patients to take solid 3-5 days off of work, exercise, and any other tasks. If you have been wanting some time to yourself or to do nothing, here is your opportunity.

Change the Bandages

When you are sent home from your surgery, we will send you with a detailed recovery packet listing how to do things like changing your bandages. Changing out your bandages and washing the incision site are two great ways to protect yourself against harmful bacteria and infection. Remember to always change out your bandages with clean hands and to wash the area with warm water and soap.

Massage the Breasts

Even though it may be a bit painful at first, massaging your breasts while you’re in recovery will help prevent any scar tissue building up. To correctly massage your breasts, try to pull the implant away from your existing breast tissue and then gently massage the breast. Repeat 2-3 times per day.

Recovery is one of the most crucial steps of any surgery— especially a breast augmentation. If you would like to learn more about recovery or to schedule a consultation appointment, contact Dr. Larry Weinstein’s office today!
