3 Myths About Mommy Makeovers Debunked

Mommy Makeover New JerseyIf you are a mom, you know that even though it can be challenging, motherhood is one of the most rewarding things you get to experience as a woman. However, motherhood also means that your body has likely been through it all— including the stretching, weight gain, weight loss, and breast deflation after breastfeeding. Luckily, Dr. Larry Weinstein offers patients a combination of surgical procedures to help you get your pre-pregnancy body back. These procedures include a breast lift, breast augmentation, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast reduction, and facial rejuvenation. To help you better understand the ins and outs of this procedure, we have created an article debunking three common myths associated with a mommy makeover. Read on to learn more.

Myth 1: You Have to Show Your Mom Card

Even though mommy makeovers are primarily popular amongst moms, you certainly don’t have to be a mom yourself to undergo this type of surgery. In fact, some of the best candidates for these combinations of procedures are patients who have recently lost a lot of weight. So, if you don’t have children yourself, you can still be an excellent candidate for this surgery.

Myth 2: You’ll Have Plenty of Scars to Show for It

Luckily, with the advancement of technology and with Dr. Larry Weinstein’s keen eye for detail, you won’t have to worry about having huge, visible scars to conceal after your mommy makeover. In fact, scars from liposuction, a tummy tuck, and a breast augmentation can all be concealed with a bra and underwear itself— meaning that you can jump into a bikini next summer without having any scars to show for it.

Myth 3: More Surgeries Means It’s Painful

One of the biggest reasons why we encourage our patients to get a mommy makeover is that it reduces the amount of pain you experience and the recovery time you have to go through. By doing multiple procedures at once, you will get to experience the recovery of just one procedure.

If you would like to learn more about mommy makeovers and whether or not you’re a good candidate, contact Dr. Larry Weinstein today to schedule a consultation.

Push Present Galore: The Perks of a Mommy Makeover

Ten to twenty years ago, the only thing that a women would get for giving birth to a baby was the gratification that they gave someone new life. However, with more and more pressure from society and other soon-to-be mommies, came the concept of a push present. What is a push present exactly? A push present is a gift that the husband or significant other gives the mother of their child in order to show gratitude for giving birth to their child. With things like fine jewelry and lavish beach vacations topping the list, it can be hard to know just what to give your baby mama as a push present. If you’ve been racking your brain trying to decide what to give her, why not consider a mommy makeover? Read on to learn more about mommy makeovers.

Get Her Body Back
Mommy MakeoverAlthough pregnancy and motherhood are a privilege and a joy for women, these joys can also wreak havoc on a woman’s body. As part of a mommy makeover, you can help give her her body back through either a tummy tuck, breast augmentation surgery, liposuction, or a combination of all three. And in order to not sound insensitive about the whole subject matter, be sure to let her know that you love her the way that she is but know that she’s happier when she is her best physcial self.

Depending on whether your significant other delivered your baby vaginally or via c-section will help your plastic surgeon decide how long she needs to wait until she goes under the knife. Also, your plastic surgeon will have to take into consideration things like breastfeeding. If your doctor recommends that she wait a few months before getting surgery, make sure to reassure her and let her know that she will have her body back fairly shortly.

The Marvelous Mommy Makeover – Transforming New Moms

mommy makeoverThere are many joys and blessings that come with being a new mom. The toll pregnancy and childbirth takes on your body is not one of them. It’s all purely natural and largely inevitable, but this doesn’t take away from the anxiety of being left with a body you fear will never be the same again.

We’re of the mind that motherhood need not necessarily spell the end of the body you worked so hard to achieve. It can feel as though the damage is too severe, what with sagging breasts, a flabby stomach, and all manner of scars to deal with. That’s precisely why we put together our unique Mommy Makeover.

The idea of undergoing multiple surgeries to take care of each of the individual areas in need of treatment is enough to put anyone off the idea entirely. As such, we’ve assembled a uniquely comprehensive package for moms of all ages that allows you to pick and choose the areas you’d like to improve. The most popular procedures are breast augmentation and the tummy tuck, but we also go much further to incorporate any facial procedures that may be requested.

Best of all, many of the procedures can be performed in tandem or in quick succession, which in turn means that restoring confidence and the appearance you’re more familiar with need not be a long, drawn-out process.

As responsible surgeons, we’re firmly committed to ensuring our patients make the right decisions and we will never rush or pressure anyone into undergoing even the simplest of treatments. The very best approach to restoring a youthful look and inner confidence is, of course, a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, and general care for your health inside and out. But when those efforts amount to little improvement, our Mommy Makeover really can make an enormous difference.

Feel and Look Young Again with a Mommy Makeover

Model 17Mommy makeover provides great benefits to every mommy out there who wants to bring back her youthful glow. But after knowing the benefits they can get from the procedure, more and more mothers instantly want to know if they are eligible for a mommy makeover. A mommy makeover is not for everyone; that is for sure. The whole process can be intensive and traumatic to the body, which is why a few guidelines must be set before planning to get the makeover:

Age

Although a lot of older women have already benefited from a mommy makeover, a patient’s age still matters especially when it comes to the risks associated with the procedure. Older women are more likely to have medical problems, such as heart diseases, lung problems, or diabetes, compared to younger patients.

 Children

The mommy makeover has been especially designed for women who have just had children. Although the process will not hinder you from bearing more children in the future, the results of your latest mommy makeover surgery could change or reverse during childbearing.

Excess Skin

Excess fat and skin in your abdomen can make you a good candidate for a mommy makeover. Childbearing and aging can take their toll on the body, leading to a protruding or saggy abdomen. During these times, a tummy tuck and a liposuction can be of use as part of the mommy makeover procedure.

Sagging Breasts

Childbirth can strain the body, especially the breasts. After child bearing, the breasts of a woman usually become saggy, deflated, or even asymmetrical. With a mommy makeover, breast procedures such as a breast lift or breast augmentation may be performed to bring back your pre-mommy breasts.

Another important thing to consider is your expectations. You need to have reasonable and realistic expectations to be satisfied with the outcomes. To know more if you are a good candidate for a mommy makeover, call us today at 908-879-2222 to schedule a consultation with Dr. Weinstein. We look forward to hearing from you!

Circumstances That May Call for a Bit of Nip and Tuck

plastic surgery procedures to improve appearanceEveryone wants to look their best and there are a few situations in life where a bit of nip and tuck could be very beneficial. Our plastic surgery practice, headed by New Jersey plastic surgeon Dr. Larry Weinstein, is devoted to rejuvenating and enhancing your natural beauty using state-of-the-art procedures. Your beautiful, natural results will make you look better and feel more confident about your appearance!

The following are the most common situations which call for a bit of nip and tuck.

Age is Just a Number
While age is certainly just a number, one can’t help but notice the physical toll that it does to your face and body. Wrinkles may appear and extra pockets of stubborn fat may stay despite eating clean and regular physical activity. If that’s the case, cosmetic surgery may help — from a facelift to liposuction to a thigh lift.

Beauty After Baby
Having a baby is probably one of the most memorable moments for a woman. Yet, pregnancy and breastfeeding can lead to certain physical changes in a woman’s body such as sagging breasts, the appearance of stretch marks, and loose abdominal skin. Majority of post-childbirth women find themselves stuck with such physical changes even after trying diet and exercise. Dr. Weinstein recommends a Mommy Makeover, a set of procedures geared towards improving a woman’s physique post-pregnancy. The most common procedures in a Mommy Makeover include a breast augmentation/lift, tummy tuck, butt lift, and liposuction.

Life Changes
Sometimes, you could use a bit of nip or tuck when you’re about to apply for a job, tie the knot, or move to a new city or country. Plastic surgery could help you add more zest and confidence to these important life events.

Social Media Influence
There’s no doubt about social media as one of the factors today which influence individuals to have plastic surgery. Who wants to have wrinkles and fine lines appearing on one’s Facebook profile photo? No one, right? Hence the birth of cosmetic procedures such as the FaceTime facelift.

Get Your Pre-Baby Body Back with
Dr. Weinstein – Mommy Makeover in New Jersey

Mommy MakeoverA woman’s body undergoes several physical changes during pregnancy which may be difficult to reverse after childbirth. These changes may come in the form of a flabby belly, sagging breasts, and excess skin filled with stretch marks. At present, there is no definite type of diet of set of exercises which can directly tighten loose abdominal skin or restore breast volume. Fortunately, a New Jersey Mommy Makeover by Dr. Larry Weinstein is designed to effectively help mothers get their pre-baby bodies back in a short span of time.

The Procedures

A Mommy Makeover may include one or more of these basic cosmetic surgeries – breast augmentation, liposuction, tummy tuck and vaginal rejuvenation. Doing the procedures all at once will really come in handy with your busy life as a mother.

Mommy Makeover Preparation

Much of the information in relation to the preparation of the surgery will be provided by Dr. Weinstein during the initial consultation. The following are pre-Mommy Makeover pointers you should know:

> An excellent overall health status will greatly contribute to the extent of the surgery’s success. Make it a point to have a well-balanced diet and take supplemental vitamins if possible. Also, do not withheld any information related to previous medical conditions to Dr. Weinstein. If you have diabetes, for instance, it is best for your condition to be controlled first before taking the Mommy Makeover plunge.

> If you’re a smoker, it would be best for you to quit at least a month before the surgery as smoking may trigger complications before and after the procedure. Smoking causes your blood vessels to constrict resulting to lesser supply of oxygen to your extremities. Insufficient oxygen supply may also result to slow wound healing on your end.

> You might also want to ensure that you will have someone around after the procedure. You may be a bit drowsy and feel a significant amount of pain post-Mommy Makeover. You need someone to drive you home from the clinic and help you get in and out of bed.

> Avoid over-the-counter medications which can cause your blood to thin down and subsequently cause bleeding or bruising.

The average period of a Mommy Makeover recovery is 14 days. However, you may still notice slight bruising and swelling afterwards.

If you’d like to have more information on a Mommy Makeover procedure, you can contact Dr. Weinstein at 908-879-2222 or fill out this contact form.
