What to Expect with Rhinoplasty
Noses are something that many people are not satisfied with. The nose may be too big for their face; it may turn up too much or simply not fit in with the person’s definition of beauty. A Rhinoplasty surgery is meant to correct the nose issue, and give a person the nose that they have always wanted. However, there is more to this surgery that what most people think, and it is considered a major surgery that will require recovery time.
Depending upon the amount of work that needs to be done to the nose will determine where the incision is made, which can be between the nose holes or at the side of the nose. Once the incision is made, bone and cartilage is manipulated in order to give the shape that the person wants. This involves cutting and chiseling off bone to give a better shape. In cases in which the nose needs to be made bigger, the doctor will use cartilage from other parts of the body to shape your new nose.
After the surgery, you are usually allowed to go home as long as there are no complications. When you leave, internal dressings are placed in the nose to stop bleeding and to form blood clots, and a splint is added to your nose for added protection. There are things that you should not be doing such as strenuous activity which can lead to more bleeding and issues, avoid smiling or laughing for a while to not disrupt the nose, do not blow your nose and do not pull clothes over your head as this could dislodge the splint or cause issues.
It is common for people to have black or blue splotches under the eyes after surgery and to have swelling in the nose. The black eyes will leave in a couple of days, while the swelling could stay in place for a little longer as the nose heals.

Why Do We Need Plastic Surgery?
Even if it is not true 100% of the time, a great body is often taken to be the sign of a great personality. Because of this, we are sometimes hyper-aware of your bodies, and we all have many different issues about our individual bodies. Maybe you are embarrassed because of a defective body part. Maybe you are a little overweight and that makes you self-conscious. No matter what your personal body issues are, you don’t have to worry anymore. We have you covered through plastic surgery.
What is Plastic Surgery?
Plastic surgery is a unique type of surgery which alters your appearance. Although it can be reconstructive and more medical in purpose, most of the time it is purely cosmetic. However, these cosmetic surgeries can help provide you with the confidence you’ve always lacked. Reconstructive procedures can fix bodily defects such as birth defects and cleft lips; it can correct traumatic injuries such as dog bites and burned skin. It can even rebuild women’s breasts after breast cancer surgery! Whether you are getting plastic surgery for reconstructive or cosmetic reasons, it gives you a perfect body shape and ideal figure.
Possible Plastic Surgery Treatments:
- If your ears are too much large and you are not happy with them, then you can give them a better shape by ear pinning. This is known as pinnaplasty.
- If you have bags under your eyes or droopy eye lids, this corrective treatment is known as blepharoplasty.
- If you feel your skin around your neck and jaws is too loose, you can reshape your neck with the help of a neck lift.
- Reshaping the nose is known as rhinoplasty.
- Augmentation of the chin is known as genioplasty.
- Reducing the fat and excess of skin between the elbow and underarms is known as brachioplasty.
- Reshaping and reducing the fat in your abdomen is known as abdiminoplasty.
- Reconstruction of the penis is known as phalloplasty.
There are, of course, many more options, but these are some of the most common.
