3 Exercises to Maintain Your Arm Lipo Results

When patients hear of liposuction, they usually think of getting it done around the abdomen or upper thighs, but liposuction can be used all across the body. Here at our office, one of the most popular places that patients elect to get liposuction done at is the upper arms. By removing excess fat from the upper arms, our goal is to give patients slender looking arms that you feel confident in, But, after surgery is done and you have recovered, there are a few things that you can do to keep your arms looking long, lean, and slender.

Push Ups

Push-ups are one of the easiest workouts you can do to tone up your arms because there is no equipment necessary. Whether you do push-ups the regular way or you elect to do them on your knees, get into the habit of doing them several times a week to help maintain and enhnce the shape of your arm muscles.

Lap Swimming

Now that outdoor pools are open everywhere, why not go outside, get some sun, and work out your arms in the pool? Lap swimming is a great way to get those long, lean muscles while also getting a good cardio workout in. Just make sure that you wear sunscreen so that you don’t come out of the water looking more like a lobster than anything.

Chair Dips

Another easy workout to do for your arms is chair dips. Similar to push-ups, there isn’t anything that you need other than a chair. To do this exercise, stand with your back facing the chair, squat down, and put your arms behind you. Then, extend your legs out in front of you. Slowly dip your arms down (almost like a backward push up).

Our job is to give you slimmer arms after liposuction, but your job is to maintain the results. Ready to learn more about arm liposuction? Contact our Chester office today and call us at 908.879.2222.

It’s Arm Season: How a Brachioplasty Can Help

With strapless dresses, tank tops, and off the shoulder shirts being at the forefront of your summer wardrobe, the last thing you want is to feel self-conscious when you are in one of these. But if you have a lot of excess skin and fat on your upper arms, then you may not want even to attempt to get into one of these pieces of clothing this summer. Rather than spending your summer sweating in long sleeves, let us help you gain back your self-esteem with a brachioplasty.

What’s a Brachioplasty?

A brachioplasty or an arm lift is a surgical procedure that’s done under general anesthesia to help patients, like you, get rid of excess unwanted fat and skin. If you feel like no matter how hard you diet and workout that you still have excess fat on your upper arms, then a brachioplasty may be the perfect solution for you.

What Is Surgery Like?

During this surgical procedure, Dr. Weinstein will start by making a long incision on the incise of the arm that extends to the elbow. He will then remove excess fat with liposuction, trim excess skin off, tighten supportive tissue, and stitch you back up with absorbable sutures.

What Is Recovery Like?

After surgery, you will be sent into a room to be monitored while your anesthesia wears off. Then, once you go home, we tell all of our patients to keep their compression sleeves on. Although these compression sleeves aren’t the most fashionable thing you have ever worn, they are great at getting rid of pain and swelling at the same time. We also tell our patients to avoid any heavy lifting or strenuous activities for a few weeks after surgery or until Dr. Weinstein gives you the go ahead.

You should feel sexy in your skin and body at all times, but especially in the summer. If you want to learn more about getting a brachioplasty, we are here to help. Contact us at our Chester office and call 908. 879.2222.908-879-2222.
