What is a Male Breast Reduction?

A male breast reduction surgery is done on males— of most ages— who suffer from a condition called gynecomastia. Gynecomastia is a condition caused by hormones in men primarily either going through puberty or middle-aged and causes them to form fatty breast tissue. Does a Breast Lift Mean Smaller Breasts?

Everything should be in its place— unless you have been pregnant, breast fed, or recently lost a lot of weight, then your breasts may not exactly be in the place they should be in. And although your breasts may hang lower than they did before you had kids or lost weight, it doesn’t mean they have to stay that way. In a study published by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, in a group of 20 women over the age of 47 who all had breast lifts, most of them found that after about five years after surgery, they lost a whole bra size. However, that same study also showed that women before surgery likely weren’t wearing the proper bra size because of the excess skin and sagginess of their breasts. In fact, the study concluded that although these women’s bra sizes did shrink, their bras fit better after surgery. In other words, no, your breasts won’t shrink after a breast lift, but your bras will fit better.
