Is it time for a Mommy Makeover?
Mother’s Day is this month – if you are a new mommy, congratulations! If you’ve been a mommy for a few years now, you deserve some credit, too – it’s never an easy job. Part of being a mommy means that your body has gone through big changes, and it can be difficult to get your pre-baby body back. Read on for details about Mommy Makeovers and why one might be right for you!
What is a Mommy Makeover?
Pregnancy and breastfeeding can add fat, stretch out the skin, and make the breasts sag. Despite your best efforts, it can be difficult to get rid of all of the fat with diet and exercise – and it is next to impossible to restore tone where you want it.
In a Mommy Makeover, you and your doctor decide which procedures can help you to meet your goals. Perhaps you would like a breast lift, a tummy tuck, and liposuction – a Mommy Makeover is made up of whatever you would like it to be. It may even include a facial procedure, such as a neck lift or help with puffy eyelids.
The great thing about a Mommy Makeover is that you can have a few procedures done in only one or two sessions. This means less exposure to anesthesia, less of the hassle that comes with dealing with surgical procedures, and only one or two recovery periods instead of many after many separate surgeries.
Some other things you should know about Mommy Makeovers
If you are considering a Mommy Makeover, it is best that you are done having children and breastfeeding. It can take up to a month after the procedure until you can return to any strenuous activities, and it will be at least 2 weeks before you can even return to your normal, everyday activities – make sure you have help around the house, especially if your children are still young.
If this Mother’s Day has you reflecting on what your body looked like before you got pregnant, it may be time to do something about it, with a Mommy Makeover! Call the Weinstein Plastic Surgery Center in Chester, New Jersey, today for an appointment, at (908) 879-2222!

Breast augmentation or breast lift?
If you are unhappy with the size or shape of your breasts, it can start to affect your self-esteem and even how much you enjoy life. If you have decided to make a change in your chest, you no doubt have a lot of questions about the many different procedures to choose from – to start with, you may wonder what the difference is between a breast augmentation and a breast lift.
What is the difference between a breast lift and breast augmentation?
Both procedures can improve the appearance of your chest, but they do very different things. In a breast augmentation, implants may be used to enhance the size and the shape of the breasts. It is used to give volume to the chest, to give a woman a curvier figure, and is often used to correct issues such as asymmetrical breasts and small breast size. Your doctor will be able to tell you about the different types of implants and can advise you on which one might be right for you.
A breast lift is used to eliminate loose and sagging tissue, “lifting” the breasts and making them look more youthful after the effects of pregnancy, nursing, or after a dramatic loss of weight. It can also be used to change the location of the nipple. Patients with small, sagging breasts typically see the best results from a breast lift procedure, but a breast lift can be performed on any size of breast.
Which one is right for you?
Which procedure is right for you depends on the results you would like to see. Some patients may benefit from both procedures – a breast lift can be done to raise sagging breasts while breast augmentation can be done to increase size and firmness. Whether you choose a breast lift, a breast augmentation, or both, the procedure will give you natural-looking results.
No matter what questions or concerns you have about any procedure you are considering, you can count on the staff at Weinstein Plastic Surgery Center for help and answers. Call the office in Chester, New Jersey, at (908) 879-2222 for an appointment today!
