How Does Liposuction Work?
Do you sometimes feel like life is way harder than it should be? Like you are doing everything you can but seeing very few results? Take losing weight, for instance – you can live a healthy lifestyle for years, with a good diet and constant exercise, and yet still have fat that you just can’t get rid of. But finally losing that fat may be easier than you think, thanks to liposuction. Read on for some more information about how liposuction works!
How does liposuction get rid of fat?
In liposuction, the fat is literally sucked out of the body through a tube. There are different techniques for liposuction – for instance, in one technique an ultrasonic device is used to break up and destroy fat cells, after which they are removed. The technique used may depend on how much fat the patient has or if this is a second liposuction procedure.
Typically, liposuction can remove inches from the area that is being treated – it can be used on the upper arms, the stomach, the calves, the hips, the buttocks, the thighs, and the neck. The procedure isn’t meant to reduce a lot of fat; it is used to tone and contour areas with stubborn fat that won’t go away on its own.
Patients typically only need one session, although it may need to be spread out over a series of sessions — this can depend on the patient’s overall health. There will be some swelling and bruising after the procedure and discomfort that can be relieved with an over-the-counter pain reliever.
Liposuction is a great solution to help contour the body in all the right places, and the results can be long lasting – but you should make sure to eat a healthy diet and exercise after the procedure so that you can stay healthy and keep that excess fat from coming back.
If you’ve been trying to lose that extra bit of fat for years and it just won’t go away, liposuction may be the answer for you. Contact the Weinstein Plastic Surgery Center to discuss liposuction. Call the office in Chester, New Jersey, at (908) 879-2222, for an appointment today!

The Benefits of a Breast Reduction
With all the emphasis on breast augmentations and breast lifts, you may feel like you are the only woman who is unhappy with her breasts because they are too large. Breasts that are too large can cause many problems, both mentally and physically, but a breast reduction can help.
Why consider a breast reduction?
Having large breasts can have many negative effects on your life. They can make you feel self-conscious or embarrassed, and it can be difficult to find clothes that fit you properly. And there are physical problems that come with large breasts as well.
You may have irritating rashes or skin irritations underneath the breasts. Large breasts can cause muscle aches and constant pain in the shoulders, back, and neck – this can negatively affect your posture, which can only add to the aches and pain. You may even have pain or numbness in the hands and arms.
In a breast reduction, excess tissue is removed, and tissue that remains is lifted and tightened. This reduces the weight on the chest. The body is brought back into balance to remove stress on the upper body muscles, and posture is improved. Patients report that, after a breast reduction, they have more energy and are less self-conscious about their bodies. They can enjoy physical activities more because they no longer have to deal with the pain and discomfort of trying to be active with large breasts.
A breast reduction procedure can be performed as an out-patient procedure or in a hospital, with an overnight stay. You should be in good health and a nonsmoker, and you should have realistic expectations about what this surgery can do for you. There will be some swelling after the procedure, but you will notice a difference right away, and you’ll see even more results as the swelling goes down.
Having breasts that are too large can affect every aspect of your life, physically and mentally. Breast reduction surgery may be the answer for you! Contact Weinstein Plastic Surgery Center in Chester, New Jersey, for a breast reduction consultation. Call (908) 879-2222 for an appointment today!
