Breast Augmentation Chester NJWhat sounds better than heading to a foreign, tropical country and coming back with some new breast implants, a nose job, or a tummy tuck? It may sound like your idea of heaven and a great way to save some money, but it’s definitely not something that Dr. Weinstein always recommends. So, before you decide to book a trip somewhere abroad to get plastic surgery, read this blog post.

Operating and Sanitary Standards

Unfortunately, operating room and sanitary standards vary worldwide. While here in the United States we have to meet certain sanitary requirements in order to avoid infection, other countries don’t necessarily have them in place. In fact, they may be a lot lower which can put you at risk of developing an infection during or after surgery.

Training

Here in the United States, you know that a plastic surgeon not only as to go through four years of medical school but they also have to go through a six-year residency as well. Whereas, other some other countries only require a few years of training in cosmetic surgery.

Traveling Afterward

Imagine having to sit upright in a long flight after a surgery— doesn’t sound fun, right?

After you undergo any type of surgery the last thing that you want to do is get in a plane. Even if you are resting in a country for a couple of days or a week after surgery you may not be healed enough to get in a plane and fly.

The united states isn’t the only country with certified and trained surgeons. There are plenty of countries that offer safe and effective surgeries in well-trained facilities and hospitals, but there are other countries that don’t. Before you consider traveling abroad, come into our office and have a consultation with Dr. Weinstein. To learn more, contact our Chester office and call us at 908-879-2222
